January 19th 2009: United we stand
Surfer Girl teamed up with the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI, Palang Merah Indonesia) to hold a blood donation drive at the Surfer Girl main headquarters at 138. Jl. Legian. Although a lot of people were nervous, the goodness of giving something so precious to others in need won out and nerves were pushed aside as over 40 members of the Surfer Girl family successfully donated blood. As one team member put it; "I was really scared because I don't like needles but I know donating blood helps save lives and that's for sure more important than me being scared. As soon as I'd done it I felt good, it's a really great feeling knowing that I may have helped someone who really needs it".
